If you frequent my blog you've noticed that my recent updates have been few and far between, I do apologize. So much has been happening in my world these past couple of weeks. Between preparing for the holidays, working, the growing demands of my family I just have not found the time to update as needed. Thank you for your visits anyway and continue to check back fro updates.

Tammie who's a talk show host and fellow blogger talkingwithtami.com/blog tagged me on yesterday with the Honest Scrap Award. At first I was like what is this about, but after reading her post I was totally inspired and thankful that she chose me to keep things moving along with the tagging tradition for other brilliant bloggers.
So here are the Instructions after being tagged.
1) Say thanks and give a link to the presenter of the award.
2) Share “ten honest things” about myself.
3) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
4) Tell those 7 people that they’ve been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving it.
So here it goes, 10 Honest Things about me:
1. I am a shopaholic, there I said and yes I need help but after Christmas :-)
2. I love writing especially blogging and I have withdrawals when I don’t get a chance to.
3. I have a 2 yr old son, and would love to have another child within next 2 years.
4. The JayZ Blueprint 3 CD has been in my car CD player since I got it October 3rd on repeat.
5. I cry sometimes because I miss my mom. (she's in Atlanta) *don’t judge me*
6. I often check my twitter, Gmail and Facebook before I get out of bed in the morning.
7. I play bejeweled on my phone almost every night before I go to sleep.
8. I'm addicted to Cocoa Pebbles cereal.
9. My ultimate dream would to be great like Maya Angelou (writer, poet, published author)
10. I've never been a collector of anything other than shoes clothes and purses.

Beyonce Featuring Lady GaGa "Video Phone
Beyonce is one of the baddest out here when it comes to performing and giving us hot and fresh music on a consistent basis. Beyonce can’t pay me to believe she leave all of that Sasha Fierceness on set, go home and be normal with her husband.

Charlotte Rousse Holiday 2009 Accessories
Over the weekend I went to the Charlotte Rousse Outlet in Gonzales, Louisiana and they had a great sale; you pick 2 mix and match accessories for $8. Not only did they had a huge selection, to my surprise they had some really stylish pieces that were reminiscent of higher priced pieces I had seen in Bebe, Express, and Guess. I got this really cute ribbon and pearl 3 layered gold necklace, a set of 3 oversized antique stoned rose studs and a set of gold and black toned stacked bangles. If I had my camera (my son lost it) I would have uploaded pictures. Don't worry that's' the first thing on my list for black Friday.
Charlotte Rousse Holiday 2009 Accessories
Even though I'm currently without a camera, I came across some pictures of Charlotte Rousse preview of there Holiday 2009 collection. They have some great pieces with prices ranging from $4.00 to $19.99.

I saw this article on on of my favorite websiste thefriskly.com that I wanted to share with you writen by editor Amelia Mcdonell-Parry Enjoy!
From the time you were in pre-school and your mom picked your playdates, you’ve been building relationships with people. And sometimes, when you have things in common and get along with one another, you become friends. You might think that you have enough friends in your life, but really, can you ever have too many? Plus, you never know when you’re going to need a hand saw, so you better have someone in your cell phone who owns one.
1. The Style Guru
Everyone needs someone who can help them figure out which dress is appropriate “black-tie optional” weddings, and whether you can get away with wearing a green sweater with a red belt. (The answer to the latter is “probably not,” unless you are a Christmas Elf.)
2. The Mr./Ms. Fix-it
You bought a new bike online, but the instructions for putting it together appear to be written in a language you do not speak. It’s time to call the friend who has a knack for building things and owns all the right tools.
3. The Good Time Gal
If you’re feeling antsy with nothing to do on a Friday night, call this friend, who is generally up for doing anything at any time. She’ll cook up plans that involve dancing on banquets or singing Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” in the time it takes you to change out of your work clothes and slap on
a fresh coat of mascara.
4. The Health Nut
During the times when you suddenly decide to start working out or eating food other than take-out and delicacies from the frozen-food aisle, it’s good to have someone who reads every health and fitness magazine and loves to dispense instructions for proper squat form and pass along recipes for protein-rich meals.
5. The Ear
You had a sucky day at work and hate everything in your closet. What do you do? Call the friend who will calmly listen to all of your problems and then, at the appropriate time, give you a few pearls of wisdom.
6. The Do-it-herselfer
Hemming vintage dresses or whipping up a crème brûlée might not come naturally to you, but with the help of a skillful friend, you’ll develop new talents in no time.
7. The Culture Guru
If you like the idea of going to see that new up-and-coming band perform, befriend someone who knows who’s playing and what exhibits are on display.
8. The Healthcare Professional
Make friends with a doctor or nurse. Then, when you wake up with ginormous swollen glands, you won’t have to wait for an appointment to get medicine to cure what ails you.
9. The Legal Adviser
We all make mistakes. A need for speed can lead to you getting pulled over, and a lively party might end with a noise violation. If you have a friend who’s a lawyer, at least you won’t be alone when you have to appear in front of a judge.
10. The Travel Buddy
There are those who like to stay in the same place and find solace in their homes. And there are others who need to get out and explore the world. If you’ve caught the travel bug, find a friend who has it, too. It’s way more fun (and much safer) when you share adventures with someone else.
Sidenote:
I had 4 of the 10 when I was in Atlanta but now that I'm Baton Rouge I guess have to somewhat start over. I should be able to knock this list out in the next 2 years before I'm 30.

Music Monday Robin Thicke 'Meiple" featuring Jay Z
Robin Thicke is trying something new for his next album Sex Therapy that is set for release on December 15th. I think this song is cute, it's sexy and fun, but I'm hoping that this is not the direction the entire album is going. Word is “Shakin’ It For Daddy” (featuring Nicki Minaj) is set to be the second single from the album but I have not heard it yet. I’m looking forward to hear more from Robin, and congrats to him & Paula Patton on their pregnancy.

Yesterday was my birthday and I am so glad to have made another year. I never imagined turning 28; I think I stopped counting after 25 because the time was flying by so fast. Over the past year I’ve done a lot of growing, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect, a lot of time to rest and I’m so better prepared for the start of this new year. This week has also been one of the busiest weeks of the year for me; I started working at my part time job last Sunday, which I will be only working at on weekends. I also started a fulltime position last Monday, although it is temporary, I’m so happy to be getting out the house everyday again.
I have not created my “list” of things to accomplish by 30 but a few things have come to mind. Let’s just say these next two years will be eventful, so you will want to stick around. Thank everyone for my birthday wishes, my entire weekend was great. Although I worked on my birthday, I came home to a delicious home cooked meal, my honey baked me a cake, the house was clean, Gavin was bathed; All I had to do was kick back.
If only everyday could be this simple, now it’s back to reality, Monday all over again, I’ll be off to work in a few hours to do it all over again. This has been a positive start to a new year to say the least I’m happy to have you here with me.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this getup seen on Little Kim on the Red Carpet at MTV's EMA's over the weekend. I love all of the pieces indivdually, but together at an awards show, I'm very torn.It was raining so...I dont know, what do you guys think? Neverless, I am steadily anticipating the return of KIM.

Mall of Louisiana Boulevard one of my favorite places
Alot like Newark, Baton Rouge has its good established neighborhoods, and the “not so good” areas where you might not want to be caught out after dark in. They even have corner stores and people hanging around “up to no good” of course a lot like my hometown. But you will definitely only see that in select neighborhoods.
There is also tons of rejuvenation citywide, a lot like what Newark is doing. Newark used to be very industrial and that was mainly what Baton Rouge has been built on; plants, refineries. Since Hurricane Katrina, the economic climate has dramatically changed and it boast a lot more different types of businesses than it used to.
Like San Antonio, Baton Rouge is a very sports oriented and family oriented town. This is definitely Tiger town, LSU runs this town. In San Antonio they were a lot of Spurs and high school football fanatics. I understood the excitement of professional sports but I’ve never seen a whole entire city rally behind a football team quite like Baton Rouge.
Southern University is another popular school that many people support. I had the privilege of attending the homecoming game a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you we had to park like 7-10 miles away from the stadium, cars filled the streets like "freaknic 98", and people were tailgating having a good time. I really enjoyed myself, college football is not so bad afterall. Earlier that day I took Gavin to his first homecoming parade, he had the best time.
There next big sporting event coming up is the Bayou Classic that will be played in the New Orleans superdome Thanksgiving weekend; it’s a annual tradition game they play against Grambling University. I will be attending this event so I will let you know how it goes. Hopefully I will have a new camera by then so I can take some pictures.
So moving here from Atlanta, a place where I lived for the past 9 years, a city that I’ve seen grow and change so much so fast will be missed; but I think we made the right move. From my first visit to Baton Rouge back in 2006 there has been a quick population boost and influx of businesses, retail and tourist attractions to accommodate the residents and visitors. It’s a vibrant city with a thriving film and production scene, shopping and dining scene. They recently opened a 23 acre production studio and lot this summer to accomodate all of the movies that are being filmed here now.
I have yet to check out the music and entrepreneur circuit, but I am looking forward to see what it’s all about. Shopping, ok, all I’m going to say is they have a 2story Forever 21 store, and I got a brand new Rooms To Go 5x8 area rug from a thrift store for 64.95. That’s all for now, I’ll update you guys more real soon.
New Video Trey Songz "I Invented S*X"
This is one of my favorite songs off Trey Songz latest album and the video makes me love it even more. This video is hot and steamy All I can say is I think he Invented S*X. Ok Trey.

Today marks 4 years since me & my honey have been together (not counting the break ups... tee hee) This is the day we officially became an item, it is also my late Grandmothers birthday, so it's a very special day for me.
Thank you honey for loving me and accepting me for who I am; flaws and all. Thank you for supporting my business and personal goals and dreams. Thank you for giving me guidance when I needed it, thank you for listening to my rants and most importantly thank you for being my friend. You are a terrific father to our son, a great provider, protector and leader in our home. We will always have ups and down but it's nice to have you to go through the motions with. Happy Anniversary!!!!! Wishing us many more.
RIP Quentzeline Norris, you are trully missed.

When Diddy coined the phrase “ No B**cha**ness” I used to laugh & think to my self “what a phrase;” but now I truly know the meaning. Yesterday I made a constructive "harmless" comment on a social networking site about an avatar directly to the avatar owner only to receive indirect twitter responses that grew rather disrespectful as time went on. Very unnecessary, might I add.
I’m not a negative person; I am opinionated but not negative. So like a woman I addressed this person in a private email to express my concern with the tactless comments they made and went on with my day.
This incident reminded me of a converstaion I had with some one not to long ago. They said you have to be careful about the people we allow in our lives, people who speak into our lives down to the music we listen to & TV programs we look at; furthermore the people we converse with or “follow” on social networking sites.
I’m glad I keep good company in real life, but now I will be more cautious of the company I keep & tweet on social networking sites. No one is worth compromising my character for, I’ll be 28 in a few days and its certain things that come with age, and grace is one of them. Now I know what your thinking... that picture is not gracefulful; it's not but it sums up my exact thoughts. I'm still 27 Don't judge me :-) Enjoy your day.

The Evolution of Lil KIm
In this picture I see Kimberly Jones who most of us know as Lil Kim. When I saw these fabulous pictures of her over at allthatsfab.com I wanted to share with you. Go Kim, I'm rooting for Kim to take things to the next level and walk into the success she deserves. I hear she is currently overseas on a tour and working on a new album with Polow Da Don, Akon, and Timbaland. I definitely think it is time for an evolution and from the look of these pictures she seems to be on the right track lets just hope the music follows suit. Shout out to the stylist & photographer for this shoot they did an amazing job.

Over A months ago I showed you some still shots from the Jimmy Choo collection for H&M.
To build up further anticipation for the launch the official video promo for the collection has been released. I'm jealous because there is not an H&M in site in Louisiana so I'm hoping some or at least one of my Georgia gal pals pick me up something. My birthday is on Sunday so this would be almost perfect timing. Better late than never.
